Why is Dr. Fauci So Controversial? Blame it On Conspiracy Theorists & the Ignorant

On Sunday Chris Wallace interviewed Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and Chief Medical Advisor to POTUS. The cordial interview conducted on the Fox News Sunday show covered current affairs involving the pandemic, vaccination, and the top doctor’s opinion on why he has become so controversial. Toward the end of the interview, Wallace sought to elicit Dr. Fauci’s opinion on just why he has emerged as such a polarizing public figure—and if there was anything he thought he could have done differently. The nation’s top doctor took no accountability and squarely blamed the controversy on two factions he has identified in society—conspiracy theorists and those that just aren’t bright enough to accept the data—and hence the truth—as interprets and conveys.
