There is no doubt the Covid Pandemic has changed lives. That's being simple. It has altered the world. The questions we’re all asking now is not only how long will these “alterations” last but how deeply will it change our society?
The prime example is, of course, the choice given to civil and medical workers. This has nothing to do with being Pro Vaccine or Anti Vaccine but the price we’re all paying be it financially, socially, or physically. The push back against vaccine mandates has been vocal and continuous. Take the politics and conspiracy theories out of it and suddenly other factors come into play. Some of these factors are practical ones.
Let’s start with healthcare workers. Despite healthcare worker shortages the POTUS mandate leads potentially to even greater shortages. Northwell Health, the largest healthcare provider in New York, terminated 1400 workers for refusing to get vaccinated. Christiana Care of Delaware, Novant Health of North Carolina, and UC Health System of Colorado combined fired more than 400 workers.
