University of Mississippi Names New Director of Research Integrity and Compliance

The University of Mississippi (UM) has hired Mandy King as the university’s new director of research integrity and compliance after a nationwide search. With more than 15 years of experience as a senior-level research and research compliance manager, King brings a level of vocational certainty to the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs that promotes ethical conduct and assures that UM research complies with university, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.

Previously from Southern Illinois University (SIU), King served as the research compliance manager and prior to that, the researcher and research project specialist. A native of Murphysboro, Illinois, King earned her bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a master’s degree in physiology both from SIU.

In the short run, King will ensure the continued standard of excellence for safe and ethical research and in the long-term, infuse a more proactive strategy promoting ethical and productive research with successful outcomes.
