University of California Berkeley has assigned an exclusive license of CRISPR protein Cas14 to Mammoth Biosciences, giving it the last piece of its diagnostic toolkit in place. Cas14 a newly discovered protein from the lab of Jennifer Doudna, the pioneer in gene-editing research and a member of the first research team to identify and unlock the power of CRISPR technology.
