The Santa Barbara Breast Cancer Alliance (SBBCA) Secures NAPBC Accreditation & Continues Innovative Care and Community Research

The Santa Barbara Breast Care Alliance (SBBCA), a collaborative group of breast care experts working seamlessly together to offer comprehensive and compassionate care for those with breast health concerns, recently entered its tenth year as a breast care Center of Excellence as the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) granted SBBCA another three-year full accreditation.

Its “without walls” program was first certified in 2010 and was reaccredited in 2013 and 2016. This recognition is provided only after a rigorous evaluation process, including an on-site review of performance to ensure high standards in leadership, clinical management, research, patient supportive care, professional education, and quality.

Breast Cancer Clinical Research in Santa Barbara

SBBCA clinical research is committed to participating in clinical trials that offer promising treatment options for their patients. Their hope is that their efforts contribute to patients’ gaining new knowledge regarding breast cancer. Their research activities are coordinated through Cancer Center of Santa Barbara with Sansum Clinic. They also coordinate with UC Santa Barbara psychologists.
