Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK), a great American academic medical institution has been scandal-plagued in recent years. The latest incident: Dr. Craig B. Thompson’s reign as President and Chief Executive Officer (2010-2022) ended in October 2022. A review of IRS Form 990 filing reveals a staggering tax-free salary.

For eight months of work, Craig B. Thompson, M.D., took home $8.1 million of tax-free compensation in 2022, almost 150 times the median American household income. Plus, there was the tax-free advantage.
