France has started its second vaccination campaign targeting bird flu (H5N1). Driven by that European nation’s poultry industry, the initiative commences October 1, 2024, and attempts to mimic the successful inaugural campaign in 2023, one in which 50+ million ducks were vaccinated.

Reports indicate in France, that viral outbreaks have occurred even among vaccinated bird as was the case as reported at the start of the year.
