The plaintiff first filed the action in state court, but thereafter brought the claim to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa, arguing that as a salesperson he consequently had “minimal interaction” with nursing home residents. However, he did meet regularly with long term care facility employees, reports Clark Kaufmann, Deputy Editor for the Iowa Dispatch.
