Wisconsin Bill Aiding Vaccine-Injured Employees Shot Down

Wisconsin workers suffered a setback on April 15, when the state Assembly failed to pass, and thus killed, a bill that would have created a rebuttable presumption of causation when a person suffers injury from a vaccine required by their employer and then applies for Worker&rsquo;s Compensation.&nbsp;Assembly Bill 613&nbsp;was introduced&nbsp;in October 2023, with 22 co-sponsors and referred to the Committee on Workforce Development and Economic Opportunities. The bill stated that &ldquo;For the purposes of benefits under this chapter, where an injury to an employee is found to be caused by a vaccine that the employee was required by or coerced by his or her employer to receive, the injury is presumed to be caused by the individual's employment.&rdquo; It also required a specific diagnosis from the doctor and stated that &ldquo;an injury claimed&hellip;may be rebutted by specific evidence that the injury was not caused by receiving the vaccine.&rdquo;
