In the United States, the Regulatory Authority is the Food & Drug Administration (FDA). In Europe, the Regulatory Authority is the European Medicines Agency (EMA). In Japan, the Regulatory Authority is the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PDMA).
