Origins of the Pandemic are Elusive & Timeline Reveals Glimpse into Path to Better Tomorrow

The right-focused, libertarian-centric Judicial Watch, known as a “conservative watchdog” group, recently filed a batch of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits against, among others, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and now apparently has learned that public money totaling $826,277 was allocated to the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China. Thanks to a cache of 280 documents, what’s becoming clear from this FOIA is that U.S. public funding that made its way to the Wuhan Institute of Virology was in fact part of a multi-site investigation into bat-originated coronavirus research. Apparently, more broadly, the government sought a “global biosafety system” and the China Wuhan lab was simply a “regional node.” Integral to that effort, the U.S. government, via the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), sponsored a program titled “Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergency” that appears to be worth about $3.7 million, with the several sites across Asia from the aforementioned Wuhan, China, to Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Myanmar. Thu...
