Hi all. Wanted to get some opinions if I’m experiencing side effects.

Before the shot, my resting heart rate is 58-62, has been in this range since Mar 2021. Going back to Jan 2021, it was 60-64. I’m been working out and exercising so, heart rate is dropping gradually over time. Data is captured on fitbit. I’ve been on 4000 IU Vit D, NAC (600mg), Zinc(15mg), Quercetin (500mg) since COVID-19 started, but I reduced to zero Vit D intake (from supplements) about 2 weeks before getting the shot.

Got J&J single shot back around Jun 10. It’s been a month. First 2 weeks no change in vitals, and I did not workout. I stopped all supplementation after the shot.

2 weeks ago, started going back to my workout routine. Started taking 1000-2000 IU Vit D and NAC (doubled to 1200mg). For some reason, my resting heart rate shot up to 64-65, which is a somewhat high level that I have not seen in the past 90 days. My arm also has more pain than before when lifting weights, I think I may have strained a muscle without knowing it, but I’m not lifting heavier or doing more reps.

Stumbled across an article the other day on COVID-19 patients getting elevated resting heart rate for up to 70+ days if not vaccinated. COVID-19 is also a vascular disease, so would that have anything to do with weakened muscles? UH-OH… Am I screwed? Did the vaccine do something to me? Should I not workout for another 2 weeks or more? Why is my resting heart rate going up?!

Also I know that J&J vaccine protective effective effects get stronger overtime, with efficacy increasing until 60+ days. I’m around day 30. Did I get screwed because I have been Vit D supplementing since 2020 and my immune system is turbocharged? Maybe reduce Vit D supplementation to zero for another month? Also, as J&J vaccine gets stronger over time. does this mean whatever side effects I’m having will get worse over time? Maybe I’m sitting on a time bomb?!

I may be suffering from vaccine side effect, but I thought the argument was that in these cases it’s an over active immune system (mostly young healthy people) that causes it? So wouldnt supplementing with Vit D, C, B12 which boost the immune system make it worse?
