I’m interested in information on how to be vaccinated with Inactivated Sars-CoV-2 Virus Vaccines approved by WHO (Sinovac and Sinopharm). I live in a country where only mRNA and adenovirus vaccines are available, and where mandates require that I be vaccinated with a WHO authorized vaccine in order to work. Sinovac and Sinopharm are not available where I live. Though these vaccines are offered widely throughout the world, most countries will only vaccinate their own citizens and established foreign residents, which of course is the most ethical policy. I am curious to know if there are any countries that meet the following criteria: 1) Are not experiencing vaccine shortages; 2) Have these vaccines (Sinopharm or Sinovac); 3) Will vaccinate foreigners (whether undocumented migrants or visitors/tourists); 4) Will allow one to choose vaccines (some countries meet the first 3 criteria, but vaccination protocol does not allow for choosing which vaccine one can get). This information will help people for whom mRNA and adenovirus vaccines are contraindicated and who live in places where only these gene-based vaccines are available. Thank you.

I would inquire with someone living in China. I understand that they will allow foreign travelers into the country on the condition that you remain in isolation for 14 days. Beyond that time period you will be free to come out. So if you can confirm with someone living there that at this stage you can get vaccinated, then I suppose you meet your job requirement, right? I don’t think there is shortage for the Chinese version of vaccines, as I heard the Chinese there are all foolishly demanding the western version vaccines. Hong Kong is another possibility you may want to look into.

Thank you for this info. The info I found on US Embassy in China website is: “Are U.S. citizens permitted to enter? <strong style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>Yes.China currently allows foreign nationals with valid residence permits and visas to enter the country under certain very limited conditions. The U.S. Embassy has no say in these policies, and these are subject to change at any time.” I’m not sure I meet these “very limited conditions.” If anyone knows of other options, especially in the Americas, please do share. thanks!
