Recently, the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) awarded 12 new academic research grants totaling $38 million to recruit cancer researchers to Texas.  TrialSite previously reported on the state’s aggressive culture to recruit the top cancer investigators as the nation’s second-most populous state and second-largest economy as measured by gross domestic product becomes a biomedical and health research powerhouse soon to rival both California and Massachusetts as well as the “Tri-State” pharmaceutical corridor, including New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
