A community cancer practice offering comprehensive cancer care and serving patients in four locations in greater Charlotte, North Carolina, recently inked a deal with Deep Lens to utilize the vendor’s artificial intelligence (AI)-based technology and support services to expand the community practice’s clinical trials offered to patients. Southern Oncology Specialists, a research-centric community practice, has been investing in improving and expanding its scope of services in the community oncology setting. They have joined the Innovative Community Oncology Practices (ICOP), a collaboration of local practices working to improve access to research in the region. As part of the rapidly evolving clinical-research-as-a-care-option movement bringing advanced, cutting-edge clinical trials to community clinics, the most recent deal with Deep Lens further expands the possibility for the Charlotte region residents to access potentially lifesaving novel oncology therapies.
